A decision I made on instinct: To enter the Sovereign Ms. pageant. I know anything Melissa does is going to be high-caliber and an unforgettable experience.

A voice you carry with you from the past: My maternal grandma and Walt Disney.

What do people misunderstand about women in their 40s? We are still young enough to be “cool” and understand current culture and trends, but we are “old” enough to have lived through a time without the technology of today. We grew up without the internet and cell phones, but they started becoming more prominent in our formative years (mid-teens and early 20’s). We’ve experienced the best, and worst, of both worlds and that gives us unique and valuable knowledge and insight into the world.

A luxury you've learned to give yourself? Travel. I will never regret the once-in-a-lifetimes experiences I’ve had or the memories I’ve made when traveling with my family.
